A Legendary Architecture
1933 Old Millfun must be one of the legends among Shanghai’s old architectures. The land of it used to be an abattoir. The introduction I saw at this millfun said it was reconstructed by a British engineer in 1933. Now the architecture is used as an office building mainly for cultural and creative industry.
Meanwhile, it is also the shooting location of Tiny Times, which is a Chinese film highly recognised as a lousy film. There are many lousy films in China, but Tiny Times is a very famous one.
The whole architecture features the intricate stairs looking like a puzzle. The last time I saw so many strange stairs was when I watch the Hogwarts Castle in “Harry Potter” series.
The introduction of 1933 Old Millfun said a lot about its architectural structure. It was a pity that I didn’t understand the words.
